USe & Privacy Terms

Please read these terms carefully before using this website or applying to Rogue Girls Fire Camp.

1. Acceptance of Use and Privacy Terms

By accessing this website or applying to participate in Rogue Girls Fire Camp, you agree to be bound by these Use and Privacy Terms. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms on your behalf. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this website or submit an application.

2. About the Camp

Rogue Girls Fire Camp is a free, hands-on fire service camp for young women ages 16–20 years old. The camp is a multi-jurisdictional collaboration of local fire departments and districts in Southern Oregon. It is designed to provide exposure and experience toward a career in the fire service through hands-on training, teamwork, and mentorship. There is no cost to attend.

3. Eligibility & Application

Applicants must be young women ages 16–20 years old who are in good physical condition and covered by medical insurance. Acceptance is not guaranteed; selection is at the sole discretion of the camp organizers. Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline (May 8th, 2026) may not be considered. The camp reserves the right to limit enrollment.

4. Assumption of Risk & Physical Activity

Rogue Girls Fire Camp involves strenuous physical activity, including but not limited to: wearing firefighting gear, climbing, crawling, group exercise, carrying heavy equipment, hose deployments, live fire training, vehicle extrication, rappelling, and other fire service operations. By participating, you acknowledge the inherent risks of these activities—including the risk of physical injury—and voluntarily assume those risks. Participants and their parent or guardian (if under 18) will be required to sign a liability waiver and assumption of risk agreement prior to participation.

5. Medical Requirements

All participants must be covered by medical insurance and must disclose any health concerns prior to the start of camp. Medically trained staff are on site during all activities, and basic first aid equipment and AEDs are available. The camp reserves the right to limit a participant's involvement in any activity if there is a reasonable concern for their safety. In the event of a medical emergency, camp staff will contact emergency services and the participant's emergency contact.

6. Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to follow camp rules and maintain a positive, respectful attitude throughout the program. The camp organizers reserve the right to dismiss any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or violates the code of conduct—without refund or compensation (not applicable as the camp is free). A signed Code of Conduct form is required at drop-off.

7. Media Release

Participants may be photographed, filmed, or recorded during camp activities. By attending, participants (and their parent or guardian, if under 18) agree to sign a Photo, Press, Audio, and Electronic Media Release. This release grants Rogue Girls Fire Camp and its hosting organizations the right to use images, video, and audio for promotional, educational, and social media purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify camp staff in advance.

8. Personal Property

Rogue Girls Fire Camp and its hosting organizations are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Participants are encouraged to leave valuables at home and label personal belongings. Firefighting gear and training equipment are provided by the camp and must be returned at the conclusion of the program.
